Brooks improved the fit and feel of the upper by using QuicKnit, a stretchy knit fabric that is both breathable and durable. They also redesigned the heel and collar to prevent any heel slippage. Plus, there is a lace catch that you can tuck your laces into to prevent you from having to stop because your shoe comes untied.
The Hyperion Elite 3 is powered by Brooks’ DNA Flash midsole, which is a nitrogen infused foam that maintains an ultra lightweight but delivers big energy return and improved durability, so you get a longer lifespan—Brooks says the shoe will last up to 200-400 miles.
Additional energy savings come from the broad midsole and Brooks’ uniquely shaped carbon-fiber plate. The plate increases the shoe’s propulsive feel and works with the midsole to keep runners aligned in their body’s preferred motion path. Brooks also carved the midsole into its Rapid Roll shape for effortless transitions.
